WW1 German Premium 1914 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross - Antique

This is a premium quality replica of the 1914 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross. The award was first introduced in 1813, then renewed in 1870 for the Franco-Prussian War, again upon the outbreak of WW1. Only five of these awards were ever issued.

The Grand Cross is the highest grade of Iron Cross, and also the largest version of this famous award, measuring over 60mm across. This is a particularly nice replica of the 1939 WW2 award, being die-struck in heavy brass, and having a pleasing antiqued, silvered finish. They come supplied with 12 inches of the correct black and white ribbon.
