Introduced during World War One, the M16 Stahlhelm replaced the Pickelhaube when it became clear that trench warfare demanded better head protection. Our reproduction M16 helmets are designed with a steel pot, leather liner, and authentic grey finish, closely matching the originals worn by German soldiers in the trenches. The helmets come with the liner already in place, though some adjustment is necessary for optimal comfort.
The interior pockets of the liner are pre-padded and can be easily customized by removing or rearranging the filling to suit your head size. Simply select the helmet size that matches your head circumference and make the necessary adjustments to the liner and leather chinstrap for a perfect fit.
