WW1 American Springfield Rifle Cover

This WW1 Rifle Cover is for the US standard issue Springfield M1903 rifle, and is an accurate reproduction of the canvas rifle cover issued to US soldiers during the First World War.

The cover is identifiable as being for a Springfield M1903 by the padded bolt and trigger area. It features a tan shoulder strap and a buckle-secured flap, under which is stamped the rifle model, the year 1918 and JQMD, indicating the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Intermediate Depot in Indiana.

The Springfield M1903 was the standard service rifle for the US military from 1903 through to 1936. The rifle saw extensive use during the First World War, and despite being officially replaced by the M1 Garand in 1936, the Springfield M1903 did see continued use though-out the Second World War, Korea and even Vietnam.

A quality reproduction WW1 Springfield M1903 Rifle Cover, perfect for collectors and reenactors.
