Eisenhower's Order of the Day was a speech that he gave to his troops before the invasion of Normandy. In the speech, he described the mission of the troops, the challenges they would face, and his confidence in their abilities. Eisenhower began drafting the Order of the Day as early as February 1944 and printed for June 5th. The order was distributed to the 175,000-member expeditionary force on the eve of the invasion.
