US M2A1 .50 Cal Ammo Can
Great reproduction US Army M2A1 Ammo Tins for .50 Cal ammunition.
The M2A1 Cans were brought in during the 1950s, designed to hold .50 Cal ammunition for the M2 Browning Machine Gun. As it is, the cans have been used for carrying a whole range of ammunitions. These cans still find much use today, including the US engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan during the 2000s.
The cans are made from a tough steel, with further steel fixings and handle on the top of the can. A rubber lining around the inside of the lid give the ammo boxes a watertight seal, with a hinged latch clicking into place to secure the contents. The full, closed tin measures approximately 12 x 7 x 6 inches.
Great piece of repro kit, which also works great as a unique toolbox.
