SS Black Service Tunic
Superb reproduction of the famous black M32 Allgemeine SS service tunic.
This is the tunic worn by the Allgemeine SS until they started transitioning to the new gray-green uniform, As the country moved onto a war footing and more men drafted into the Waffen SS, many of the black uniforms were to be handed back in and were re-badged for foreign volunteer armies. The uniform was worn between 1932-1934 although they were continued to be worn by some until the transition in 1938-1939
As with the Officers style Gabardine uniform the new uniform kept the same cut with the 4 button front and open collar, although some officers would still wear their black M32 uniform for Official functions (seeing as Officers had to pay for uniform out of their own pay, it would not have to be handed back to stores)
These tunics have the correct cut and are made from a fine quality black wool with silver piping around the collar and a satin viscose blend lining.
