High quality reproduction SS sleeve eagle - early design.
These are reproductions of the first design of the SS arm eagle. Introduced in May 1936, these eagles were machine embroidered and were issued to EM and NCOs. Officers normally chose to purchase their arm eagles privately. In January 1938, a second design was introduced which remained standard SS issue throughout WW2.
These sleeve eagles are great quality, made form embroidered off-white thread on a black wool background. These make great collectors items due to their short-lived use.
