Soviet Young Pioneers Lenin Pin Badge
The Vladimir Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization was a youth organisation, active between 1922 and 1991. It was similar to that of the Scouting movement.
During WW2 or the 'Great Patriotic War', many 'Young Pioneers' worked hard and contributed to the war effort. Thousands died in battles as soldiers, and others would fight 'underground' as Partisans, disrupting the Axis war machine.
The motto of the movement, which is written on the badge is 'Always Ready'.
Measures 2cm x 2.5cm.
