The Excellent Scout Badge was awarded to Snipers and Sharpshooters who showed excellence in combat. The badge depicts the hammer and sickle in the centre, with the text 'за отличную стрепьбу', translating to 'For Excellent Shooting'. It also features a soldier aiming a rifle with the soviet hammer and sickle in the background.
The Badge comes with a screw back for fitting, the badge measures approximately 5.1cm by 3.4cm with the screw pin on the reverse measuring approximately 1.9cm.
