Quality Reproduction of the WW1 Prussian Knights Order of the Red Eagle 2nd Class.
The Roter Adlerorden, known in English as the Prussian Knights Order of the Red Eagle, was awarded to high ranking Officers during the First World War. This is the 2nd Class variant of the award, awarded to many Prussian Officers, such as General der Infanterie Otto von Below and Vice Admiral Franz von Hipper, German Hero of the Battle of Jutland.
This award comes complete with a black and silver ribbon. Although the award was normally presented with a white and orange ribbon, combat awards were conferred with a black and white ribbon similar to that of the Iron Cross. This is the combat version of the award and therefore comes with the appropriate ribbon.
