This style of folding burner was originally supplied with small smokeless fuel blocks to German troops in WW2 and though these examples are more recently produced they retain the same design. With a small form factor and lightweight build, they are easy to carry and use while still providing enough heat to heat rations or water. The original brand stamps (Esbit or Natit) and instructions for use are still visible.

Our stock shows some signs of use such as carbon buildup and signs of age, with light corrosion on the surface. Despite this, they remain functional pieces, though they may need a little cleaning up before use. Unfold each side, place on a safe surface with no other flammable items nearby, place your fuel in the centre and light, place your mess tin or canteen on top of the open stove and wait for the desired temperature. Be sure to allow the stove to cool before packing away! Usually fueled with hexamine or other smokeless fuel blocks, these can also be run on other solid fuels such as dry tinder.
