Description
Introduced in the early 1960s, this hat formed a vital part of the NVA uniform, worn by East German soldiers braving the bitter conditions of winter behind the Iron Curtain. Inspired by Soviet designs, it proudly bears a cockade complete with NVA insignia, a bold symbol of allegiance to the German Democratic Republic and its socialist values.
Crafted from a fuzzy felt/wool blend and featuring a toasty cotton lining, this hat is designed to fit comfortably around the head, providing warmth and protection in even the coldest temperatures. The adjustable ear flaps add flexibility, allowing them to be worn down to fully cover the ears during freezing conditions or tied securely on top when the weather is milder.
