These are smart reproductions of the Memel Commemorative Medal, which was awarded to personnel who contributed to the annexation of Memel territory. The medal pictures a taller figure, carrying the Swastika banner, leading the shorter figure to the German Reich. The colours of the ribbon represent the historic colours of Lithuania minor.
The medal was authorised on May 1, 1939. The medal commemorates the return Memelland in March, 1939.
