Olive green drab sling made for the M1 Carbine. This is made from a durable cotton webbing and measures approximately 115cm long. Our reproduction sling has a dot fastener which creates a loop at one end and a C-shaped metal tip on the other. This will also fit the M3 ‘grease gun’ submachine gun. To be used with the M1, an oiler bottle is needed to hold the sling in place. (Sold separately.)

Description
Our M1 Carbine webbing slings come in the classic American olive-green drab colour. This versatile strap can be used on both the M1 Carbine and the M3 Submachine gun. These slings have a dot fastener which creates a loop at one end and a C-shaped metal tip on the other. The sling will attach to the M1 carbine stock by wrapping it around an oiler bottle (sold separately.) It measures approximately 110cm.
The M1 Carbine was not originally intended to serve as a primary weapon for combat infantrymen. However, it was markedly superior to the submachine guns in use at the time in both accuracy and penetration, and its lighter .30 cartridge allowed soldiers to carry more ammunition. As a result, the carbine was soon widely issued to infantry officers, American paratroopers, NCOs, ammunition bearers, forward artillery observers, and other front-line troops.
