High quality reproduction cuff title as worn by German Luftwaffe officers during WW2.
Jagdgeschwader 26 (JG 26) Schlageter, was a fighter wing of the Luftwaffe. The flew the Bf 109 in the battles of France and Britain and from 1941 were the sole fighter wing in France for two years. In this time they fought against the RAF's increasingly aggressive fighter sweeps. Upgraded to the Fw 190, JG 26 were the primary German fighter force during Operation Overlord.
