Reproduction Iron Cross 1st Class hand embroidered type.
This award would have been awarde for exactly the same reasons as the regular version, for distinct bravery in the call of duty.
It it the cloth and bullion version, normally issed to soldier in confined spaces such as planes, tanks and U-boats.
Hand embroidered from silver bullion thread on a black wool backing, dated 1939 as per the regular award with the Swastika in the centre
