Grossdeutschland Unteroffizier Shoulder Boards.
The Panzer Grenadier Division Großdeutschland was an elite division of the Wehrmacht. Originally an honour guard and ceremonial unit in pre war Berlin, it was expanded during WW2 to a Panzergrenadier division. Elements of the division were later expanded into seperate divisions and all of these were reorganised into the Panzerkorps Großdeutschland.
The division fought in the Battle of France before participating in the invasion of the Soviet Union. It spent the rest of the war fighting on the Eastern Front before the division was destroyed in April 1945.
Our Großdeutschland epaulettes have the GD logo hand embroidered.
Made from black wool with silver tresse and coloured piping and lettering.
