Aircraft Destruction Badge - Gold
These WW2 Gold Aircraft Destruction Badges or Tieffliegervernichtungsabzeichen, would have been awarded to soldiers who brought down five low-flying aircraft using only hand-weapons. They were introduced in 1945 but there is some debate as to whether any were actually awarded (other than on paper) during the war.
The badges feature a metal aeroplane on a gold coloured ribbon backing with two black stripes.
These reproductions are hard to come by and some of the best available on the market.
