The Verwundetenabzeichen, in gold, was awarded for five or more wounds received, complete loss of sight or hearing, severe disfigurement or brain damage suffered in the line of duty.
Also awarded posthumously.
To be worn below all other awards on the left of the chest.
This badge has a smart gilt finish, and a pin back for fitting.
The badge measures approximately 4 x 3.5 cm.
