German SS Fallschirmjager BEVO Cuff Title
Reproduction WW2 German SS Fallschirmjager BEVO Cuff Title.
Worn by members of the 500th SS Parachute Battalion formed in 1943. The battalion drew half its personnel from regular Waffen-SS units and the other half from SS disciplinary units.
The 500th were first used in a daring attack on Josef Tito's headquarters. The raid was unsuccessful as Tito escaped and 800 of the 1000 Fallschirmjagers were killed of wounded. The survivors saw combat in the Baltics before being withdrawn to germany and sent to the Western front were they took part in the Battle of the Bulge.
