German SA Kepi - Black
Reproduction German SA kepi in tan with black trim.
The Sturmabteilung was the primary paramilitary wing of the Nazi party. The SA attacked political opponents and other "undesirables".
The uniform of an SA member was principally a brown shirt, Swastika armband and a tan Kepi cap. The uniform was chosen due to its prevalence after a store of tropical colonial uniforms were discovered in Austria.
The colour on the Kepi displayed which Gruppen (division) the wearer belonged to. Black represented the Berlin-Brandenburg group.
Complete with brown leather chin strap, buttons and metal eagle.
