German Officer Collar Tabs (Copper Brown)
Quality reproduction German Officer collar tabs.
The copper brown strips denote the wearer as an Officer of the Motorcycle Infantry (Kradschützentruppe). The Kradschützentruppe were established due to a lack a motorised vehicles, such as trucks, but a prevalence of motorcycles in Germany before and during WW2. This form of identification has been used by German Armies since the 19th century and is still used by the Bundeswehr today.
These have copper brown thread as worn by Motorcycle Officers in WW2. The boards are hand embroidered using a silver bullion cord onto a stiffened dark green, wool backing.
The collar tabs measure approximately 7 x 4 cm.
