German MP38-40 Manual
An accurate reproduction of the Heinz Denckler MP38-40 manual.
From their Berlinpublishing house, Heinz Denckler Verlag specialised in educational manuals for both civilian and military application. Due to the National Socialist militarisation of society, many of the military manuals were also popular amongst the civilian population.
This particular manual is intended for the civilian market, as identifiable by the price of ‘0.25 Reichsmark’ in the top right corner. The manual details the workings of the Maschinenpistole 38 and Maschinenpistole 40. This submachine gun was distributed widely amongst German troops to compliment riflemen armed with K98k, sparingly at first before becoming more and more widespread as the war developed. By the end of the war over a million of these submachine guns were produced, and they were used on every front the German military fought on.
Printed on green card, the illustrations are an accurate reproduction of the original Denckler manual. Inside are 22 pages of in-depth information on the workings of the MP38/40. The final pages include annotated, fold-out diagrams of the submachine gun with each working part labelled.
