Standard issue Tunic Eagle as worn by German General Officers in WW2.
In early 1934 the Reichsadler was redesigned from the older NSDAP eagle and it was to be applied to all steel helmets, visor caps, and tunics by the middle of 1934. This later changed for the national eagle to be worn on all field caps, sports uniform and the black panzer wrap.
This eagle being the Generals variant is hand embroidered with a gold bullion thread on a dark, bottle green, wool backing, The eagle is to be worn on all combat, formal and parade uniforms by Heer Generals
