German Breadbag and Shoulder Strap - Tan
Reproduction Breadbag (brotbeutel) in Khaki/Tan with shoulder strap.
The Breadbag is a piece of equipment that can be found on almost every German soldier in WW2. It's a simple one compartment haversack which contained the ration of a soldier. The bag was often used to carry personal items such as letters and photos.
Designed to attach to the belt or to be worn with the assistance of the shoulder strap. Attachment points for a canteen and cooking tins.
Stamped with "Ernst Melzlg LIEGNITZ 1940" on the shoulder strap and the hook strap.
Made from heavy canvas with quality leather and metalwork.
The shoulder strap is approximately 110 cm long. The bag is approximately 28 x 28 cm.
