WW2 German Army Officer Visor Cap - Field Grey - Red Piping
This high-quality Field Grey Wool Heer Artillery Schirmmutzen (Visor Cap) comes with red piping, dark green velvet band and gloss black peak, complete with silver bullion cap cord and silver eagle and embroidered wreath and cockade insignia. Worn by officers within a variety of divisions as the Wehrmacht adapted its Waffenfarbe system to newly formed units, "Hochrot" was intended to be worn by artillery troops though the blurring of tanks, artillery and Panzerjager (anti-tank) units meant this wasn't universal.
This is an excellent reproduction, handmade from an original in a heavy wool material, with a leather sweatband, perfect for reenactment or collecting alike. See here for this and other caps without insignia.
