German Army Officer Collar Tabs with Lemon Yellow thread (Signals).
The Lemon Yellow piping denotes the wearer as an Officer of the Signals branch. Signals troops were responsible for establishing and maintaining military communications, such as radio and telephone networks.
The boards are hand embroidered using a silver bullion cord onto a stiffened dark green, wool backing.
The collar tabs measure approximately 7 x 4 cm.
