WW2 German First Pattern Luftwaffe Tunic Chest Eagle - Blue/Grey Backing
Luftwaffe Enlisted Man's tunic eagle for above the right breast pocket.
A variant upon the tradition German eagle, the Luftwaffe eagle differs from the Nazi one adopted in 1935 in so far as a this eagle is portrayed as ‘flying’ or ‘soaring’. Like other Nazi eagles, the Luftwaffe eagle also carries a swastika below it.
This eagle would have been worn on the right breast pocket.
An excellent reproduction Luftwaffe eagle sewn with grey thread on a authentic Luftwaffe blue backing.
