The German Africa Corp or Afrika Korp was the German expeditionary force in Africa during the North Africa Campaign of World War Two. The Afrika Korps was formed on 11 January 1941 and Erwin Rommel was designated commander. The German Africa Corp had a total size of 33,500 men and was active between the 21st of February and the 13thof May 1943.
