German Army Officers Bullion Cap Cockade
The bullion wire cockades were for use my Officers only and were worn on the M34, M38 and M40 side caps as well as the Gebirgsjager bergmutzr and M43 ski caps they matched an Officers class bullion wire eagle. Their use can be seen on most if not all Heer Officers caps for the whole duration of the war period.
It is constructed from a silver bullion wire with a red felt centre and backed on dark green wool and measures 3cm in diameter.
