Bavarian Merit Cross 4th Class Medal Ribbon with Crown and Swords
The Military Merit Order medals were amongst Bavaria’s highest awards for bravery and ranked only below the Military Order of Max Joseph.
These are the 4th class silver version which was awarded to Majors, Captains and a few lieutenants. The swords denote a wartime issue.
These medal ribbons feature black and blue stripes running down a white background, with silver coloured crossed swords amd crown.
