Reproduction volunteer shield as worn by the BD - Nr. 2 Kosaken-Divisionen volunteers during WW2.
Worn by Don Cossacks serving in the Cossack Cavalry Division. The division was comprised of Cossacks recruited from occupied terrirtories or POWs. The various shields denoted which Cossack host the wearer was from.
Cyrillic letters above a blue and red pattern upon a black shield.
The badge measures approximately 7 x 5.5 cm.
