Description
The Women’s Army Corps (WAC) was a branch of the United States Army, created during World War 2, that allowed women to serve in non-combat roles. Established in 1942 as the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC), it was later converted to the WAC in 1943, granting women full military status. Women in the WAC worked in a variety of essential positions such as clerks, telephone operators, truck drivers and mechanics, freeing up men for combat duty. The WAC played a crucial role in supporting the war effort and was considered to have one of the most stylish and well-tailored uniforms in the armed forces – designed by women for women.
Made from durable yet comfortable 100% Polyester, our reproduction of this iconic six panel skirt offers all the practicality of a vintage military skirt, but with none of the fuss. Featuring a side zip and a single button enclosure, this skirt is made to be efficient in every way and is perfect for those wanting to try their hand at WW2 reenactment.
Whether you’re paying homage to the WAC’s rich legacy or simply adding a military-inspired touch to your everyday look, this skirt will have you strutting with confidence
