The price is set for a pair of these meticulously crafted badges, making them a valuable addition to any military collection or reenactment uniform.
These shoulder titles were worn on the upper arm beneath the formation sign by operational airborne troops who were not parachutists. Authorization for the badge was contained in ACI 2816 of 31 October 1942. A must for any British Airborne impression.
British Airborne forces during the Second World War consisted of the parachute regiment, glider pilot regiment, airlanding battalions and the Special Air Service Troops. The early success of British Airborne Operations prompted the war office to expand the existing Airforce, setting up the infamous Airborne Forces Depot and Battle School.
