Afrika EM Cuff Title
Reproduction Luftwaffe Afrika cuff titles.
The Luftwaffe served as air and anti-aircraft support in Africa when DAK units were mobilised to assist the Italians in Tripoli in Febraury 1941. New cuff titles were instituted on 6 March 1942 to be worn on the right sleeve by all members of the Luftwaffe stationed in North Africa. They were also worn by injured members of the Luftwaffe who had been removed to European military hospitals and those on leave, but had to be removed when airmen’s units were transferred out of the African theatre.
These are the enlisted men’s version with ‘Afrika’ embroidered in grey thread on a blue wool backing.
