WW2 US Reproduction Pocket Patch for the 462nd Parachute Field Artillery Battalion.

The Battalion was formed in 1943, and fought in the Pacific Theatre during World War 2. The Battalion was then attached as part of the 503rd Parachute Regimental Combat Team for the combat jump upon Corregidor.

The patch was designed when the unit was at Camp Mackall, North Carolina. Some Officers wore this on their A2's Leather Jackets which had been 'acquired' from the USAAF.

The badge itself depicts the devil holding an artillery shell, with a parachute in the background. The design is embroidered onto a yellow circle, with red border.

This patch would look great on an  A2 Leather jacket!
