2nd Infantry Division (Indian Head)
US Division Patch - 2nd Infantry Division. Nicknamed the "Indian Head Division" or "Warrior Division", they had the motto "Second to None".
The 2nd ID can trace their history back to World War 1 and have fought in many wars/conflicts since including WW2, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan.
During WW2 the 2nd Infantry Division arrived at Omaha Beach, Normandy on the 8th June 1944 (D+2). They fought in France, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia.
The Division is still active today and currently has it's headquarters in South Korea.
This is a fantastic reproduction of the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia worn by the unit. It depicts a Native American's head centred on a white star and black shield.
Perfect for your 2nd Infantry Division collection!
