1957 Iron Cross 2nd Class
1957 Iron Cross 2nd Class with a silvered finish.
In 1957 a series of awards were re-designed with the removal of the swastika. This was done to allow WW2 veterans serving in the newly formed Bundeswehr to wear medals they had earned previously. The Iron Cross was the most coveted medal of all Third Reich Germany's decorations. They were awarded to recognise outstanding bravery in the German Army. The 1957 issue featured oakleaves in place of the swastika.
These Iron Crosses come with a silvered finish and come complete with a length of the correct ribbon.
