1957 Heer Long Service Medal - 18 years
In 1957 a series of awards were re-designed with the removal of the swastika. This was done to allow WW2 veterans serving in the newly formed Bundeswehr to wear medals they had earned previously. The medal was originally awarded to personnel who served in the German Army for 18 years. Each medal features an eagle at the centre of a cross.
Fine reproductions of the 18 Year Army Service Medal with 6 inches of the according blue ribbon.
