Description
You need these leg ties if you are looking to upgrade your US Army M42 impression. These leg ties were used by the 101st Airborne during D-day and beyond. Consisting from a similar material to the original these are a fantastic way to step your game up.
The 101st didn't have the resources to reinforce their uniforms like the 82nd did before D-Day so instead, they used straps like these, made from the same material as their trouser folded and stitched into a strip of webbing.
Each strap measures 52 inches and must be sewn onto the un-reinforced M42 trousers. This is done with a box x stitch on the inside of the upper thigh, as shown in the images. Made from the same material as our M42 uniforms, these are a simple and neat way to step up your impression kit.
Be sure to check out type 2 ties used by the 82nd Airborne.
