Original US M42 First Aid Field Dressing
These original US Army Carlisle first aid field brown dressings are unused WW2 surplus.
Manufactured in 1942 in New York, these packets contain one field brown dressing of the US Army Carlisle model. These were the first US field dressings to be packaged in a laminated paper and lead foil wrapper, seen as a replacement for the brass tins previously favoured.
The wrapped dressing is housed within a waxed cardboard packet.
These are great pieces of history, and a great addition to any US WW2 re-enactor's kit.
