WW2 German Luftwaffe Flying Personnel Badge made from silver bullion wire on a dark blue backing.

During WW2, a number of Luftwaffe specialist qualification badges were introduced. Worn on the left forearm of the Luftwaffe flying blouse, service tunic, parade uniform and greatcoat, the badges were awarded to personnel who were qualified in a specific unique skill. These particular badges were introduced between March 1936 and April 1937 and were issued to Luftwaffe personnel who were not entitled to wear the pilot's, observer's or radio operator's badge. These reproductions are made from a dark blue wool backing, with the design made from silver bullion wire.
