The Soviet Award for Excellent Marines badge was awarded to members of The Marines who showed excellence in combat. The badge depicts the Soviet Double Headed Eagle, under the text 'отличник ' and 'морскдя пехотд', translating to 'Marine Corps'. It also features the Russian flag at the top of the badge and an Anchor at the bottom.
The badge comes with a screw back for fixing, the badge measures approximately 4.5cm x 3.6cm, with the screw pin on the reverse measuring approximately 1.5cm.
