We are pleased to offer both the classic and enhanced versions of the iconic US LBV. Initially issued as the "Vest, Tactical, Load Bearing", TLBV or LBV-88, these tactical vests saw use with US forces for decades. Later updated to the "Vest, Tactical, Load Bearing, Enhanced", TLBVE or LBV-E, angling the magazine pouches for easier access and replacing the backing material with mesh to reduce overheating. Part of the IIFS (Individual Integrated Fighting System) which replaced the ALICE system in use by the US after Vietnam, these vests formed the basis of the infantry fighting load, with attachments to support the belt below the vest.

Both styles feature a wide array of adjustments, from the quick-release straps across the front, shoulder height and the iconic lace-up sides, giving a more uniquely adjusted fit than simple straps. On the front, each side has 2 magazine pouches and one grenade pouch, all with both popper closures and hook and loop. In total the vest gives space for 6 M4 magazines. Each shoulder strap has thick foam padding, as well as a variety of loops and mounts to secure additional equipment or packs. Constructed with sturdy olive webbing, metal and plastic fittings and a heavy-weight M81 woodland camouflage fabric.

Please note: These are genuine issued US Army surplus, most have been used and will show signs of use. Wear, fading, scuffs and markings like names are to be expected as well as small amounts of corrosion on metal fittings.
