Original East German Army NVA Helmet Cover - Strichtarn
Genuine surplus strichtarn pattern helmet covers for the M56 steel helmet. These original pieces are becoming harder to find. A camouflaged fabric cover with an elasticated front and cinch cord to the rear leading to a neck flap to help keep sun or rain out. Under the front brim, a grey mesh veil is rolled up and secured with two button straps until it is rolled out to keep insects off your face.
Displaying the iconic "rain-drop" pattern, these are designed to hit the NVA M56 helmet but will fit a variety of other helmets and also work rather well as a standalone hat with neck flap and face veil, perfect for swampy or sunny conditions.
