Military Merit Cross 3rd Class Medal Ribbon
These medals were first introduced in 1849 and were awarded as an acknowledgment for excellent military service. The original Military Merit Cross was enhanced with the introduction of the War Decoration, signified by the Laurel Wreath and was commonly awarded during World War 1.
This medal ribbon features red stripes on a white background, with a gold coloured wreath.
