German Legion Condor Wound Badge - Black.
These wound badges were first awarded to the volunteers from the German Armed Forces known as "Legion Condor" who had been wounded during the Spanish Civil War. The award itself was instituted on the 22nd of May 1939, just a few months after the end of the Civil War. As the dies were readily available, these wound badges are the same as World War 1 badges, with the addition of a swastika on the helmet. Just like the black classes of the other wound badge variants, this particular class would have been awarded for being wounded once or twice.
These high quality, die-struck brass badges have a black matte finish providing a very authentic look.
