Reproduction WW2 US Army M7 Waterproof Carrier for the M5 assault gas mask.
The M5 gas mask was issued to the first wave of US troops on D-Day, carried in the M7 bag. It was worn on the chest by troops in landing crafts and strapped to the legs of paratroopers. The air in the M7 carrier made the bag a float, and is credited with saving the lives of soldiers who were dropped into deep water.
Made from black coloured coated canvas complete with webbing straps and roll closing with metal snaps.
The front is complete with the correct text and design in olive green.
