WW2 Luftwaffe Maritime Mechanical Personnel Badge
WW2 German Luftwaffe Maritime Mechanical Personnel Badge made from silver bullion wire on a dark blue backing.
During WW2, a number of Luftwaffe specialist qualification badges were introduced. Worn on the left forearm of the Luftwaffe flying blouse, service tunic, parade uniform and greatcoat, the badges were awarded to personnel who were qualified in a specific unique skill. These particular badges were introduced in March 1935 and were issued to Luftwaffe personnel responsible for the mechanical upkeep of the Luftwaffe's maritime aircraft. These reproductions are made from a dark blue wool backing, with the design made from silver bullion wire.
