WW1 German Second Class Iron Cross
Out of stock
Reproduction WW1 German Second Class Iron Cross with ribbon in stamped bag.
A quality reproduction of the Second Class Iron Cross, which had to be awarded before receiving the First Class award, although both could be awarded simultaneously.
Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II reauthorized the Iron Cross in August 1914 with the outbreak of the First World War. The Iron Cross was awarded for bravery in battle regardless of rank.
The cross features an Imperial Crown at the top, the letter 'W' for Wilhelm and '1914' at the bottom. On the rear it displays the Imperial Crown, 'FW', triple oak leaf and 1813 at the bottom.
